Shearer's Cupboard is an Australian, Melbourne based, second-hand jersey retailer for all your football shirt collection needs. At the Cupboard, we celebrate football nostalgia by sourcing and re-selling original and authentic vintage kits and retro jerseys.                                         

                     

The name “Shearer’s Cupboard” has a funny origin backstory. One day, my friends came over after school and with so much pride on their faces they greeted my dad, Joe, with a golden “Hey, Alan!”. I looked at them confused as if to say, after how many years you forgot my dad's name? But my dad, a striker himself, cracked up and realised straight away they thought he looked like Alan Shearer. 

I had been casually collecting and re-selling football shirts for a couple years, however when it came time to start my own page, I felt like a brand based on Nostalgia should not be named after a lad in his early 20's. I was inspired to start collecting vintage shirts because of the couple old shirts my dad and his brother have worn around me through my childhood, and I wanted some for myself. So it felt fitting to name it after my dad, who was and is also a striker, number 9, and from that and his nickname I drew inspiration for the name “Shearer’s Cupboard".
